Striking vintage Art Deco collar bib necklace from the late 60s or early 70s has a glossy jet black one-piece acrylic collar pendant that has high-polished gold tone enbedded strips in a geometric, architectural pattern.
Shown in photo with the Monet hang tag, note that I regret that I have lost the tag!
Stunning and very much a statement necklace, it is in very good condition and looks new.
Designed by Monet, early pieces had paper hangtags rather than a mark on the piece. Unfortunately, the hangtag has been lost but you can see it on the photo.
Monet collar necklaces of this era were popular for their color and artistic appeal. Influenced by Mondrian and Le Corbusier, many designs were this graphic, architectural, minimalist look.
The quality is hefty with a good "hand" and very substantial. The bright gold tone chain is a beautiful large flattened box chain that catches the light.
This is a gorgeous vintage large bib necklace for those who love designer statement designs and it would look stunning on a minimalist structured outfit.
The clasp is a small S-hook with a ringed extender chain of the same shiny gold metal.
SIZE: 18 inches at the last extender ring
Material: Hefty plastic acrylic, well-plated gold tone shiny metal - could be GF but nothing is marked.
